This program is more than just an adventure—it’s an opportunity to discover who you truly are as a leader and a person. Get ready to explore the breathtaking landscapes of Nepal, face challenges head-on, and build the confidence you need to lead effectively—now and in the future.

Program Overview

In just two weeks, you’ll experience an adventure that will push you beyond your limits, help you think critically, and leave you with skills and memories that will last a lifetime. Here’s a look at what you can expect:

Program Itinerary

Week 01: Building Leadership Skills

The first week is all about learning what it means to be a leader. You’ll begin with workshops focused on key leadership skills such as communication, decision-making, and teamwork. These activities will help you understand how to lead a group, solve problems, and work effectively with others.

The real adventure begins when you start your trek through the Annapurna region. As you walk through beautiful yet challenging mountain trails, you’ll practice leading your team in real situations—deciding on routes, solving problems, and keeping everyone motivated. You’ll face physical and mental challenges that will test your strength and determination. By the end of the week, you’ll feel more confident in your ability to lead and collaborate with others.

Week 01: Building Leadership Skills
Week 02: Strengthening Your Leadership

Week 02: Strengthening Your Leadership

The second week builds on the leadership skills you developed in Week 1. You’ll face even more challenging situations while trekking through Nepal’s stunning landscapes. You will continue to guide your team through difficult moments, making decisions under pressure and learning how to stay calm when things get tough.

A key focus of Week 2 is community involvement. You’ll have the opportunity to apply your leadership skills in a meaningful way by working on small community projects. This will teach you that leadership is not only about guiding others but also about giving back and serving those around you.

You’ll also take part in thrilling activities like rafting, canyoning, bungy or zip-lining, which will test your teamwork and help you understand how to manage risks. The week will end with a leadership challenge, where you and your team must solve a crisis situation, putting everything you’ve learned into practice.

By the end of the program, you’ll leave with more confidence, practical leadership experience, and the ability to handle challenges in both outdoor and everyday situations.

It started three months ago in the month of March 2015 when I arrived in Nepal and what was to come in the following month would no less be the experience of my life to date. We have a funny way of dealing with trauma in a society that begs solidarity; in the west we have become masters of our own folly. But here in Nepal the vibrancy of community, the happiness in people magnifies in the face of adversity. Two major earthquakes proved that people are not so socially fallible. And then I meet with Gap Year Nepal under most auspicious circumstances. The work they are carrying out is a reflection of the beauty of the people of Nepal. This joint effort with Nepalese and travellers has inspirited my own efforts in creating a world without boundaries, a world where we can help each other regardless of race and creed. Gap Year Nepal, thank you for all you have done for me, for Nepal and the world at large.

I Love the MountainsI had a really good stay here in Nepal .I think the program for the first month was perfect. We all had a wonderful time and you were helping us all time think maybe that you don’t need to send guide with us on the rafting Chitwan Pokhara trip. it would have been nice to be our self and we have your phone Number thinks the trip to Tibet was really good but the guide didn’t tell us so much about Tibet, maybe because he couldn’t it would have been nice if he had told us more. Everest fantastic .the volunteer work good but also difficult .i learned lot about the Nepali culture maybe too much. it was amazing tour and I think a really good partner in Nepal .
